We believe pet nutrition
is an individual process, each person finding their own system
that works best for the health of their pet and their own lifestyle.
Some of the sites we list may advocate the feeding of whole
bones like chicken necks and wings or turkey backs. The Healthy
Pet does not endorse the feeding of whole bones due to the possibility
that a pet may be injured swallowing large pieces of unchewed
bone. This is our personal choice, we believe that our pets can
receive the same benefits from bone when it is safely ground.
We do recommend and sell recreational bones like beef or buffalo
marrow and knuckle bones that are intended to be gnawed on and
not consumed as these bones are excellent for dental health.
